Important Club Deadlines
March 1 - Start of Club's Fiscal year. The President makes Committee Chairperson appointments. Anyone interested in working on a committee please let your governors know or any club office. Volunteers are always needed and it is a terrific way to serve your club. You can contact the Recording Secretary for a copy of the Job Description for any job which may interest you.
September 1. The Recording Secretary sends letters to all Saint Bernard Club of America judges for the National and World Union shows. For eligibility requirements, contact the Recording Secretary.
September 15. Nominations for the Sweepstakes Judges are due. For eligibility requirements, contact the Recording Secretary.
October 15 . Nominating Committee deadline for Officers/Governors
November 1. Mailing for the first ballot. A reminder goes with this ballot on how to run for an office via petition. If necessary, the first Sweepstakes Judges ballot (if more than 10 nominees) is included.
December 1. Votes are due back and the counting will take place within 2 days of the 1st. Petitions to be on the ballot for the Officer/Board election must be received. To petition one must be a Saint Bernard Club of America member in good standing, sign a petition to that effect and of your willingness to run and have the petition signed by five Saint Bernard Club of America members that are in good standing.
January 15. Final ballot for voting of the National Judges and Officers/Board members.
February 15. Votes are due and the counting will take place within 2 days.
Annual Board Meeting . This meeting takes place at the National specialty each year. SBCA members are always welcome to attend as observers. Time and place will be announced in the schedule of events where printed, and also made available at the National.
Letter of Intent is due at the Board Meeting from any group wanting to host a National in three years time according to the rotation schedule.
